Author Guidelines

  1. Manuscript or Book Review submitted to TRANSFORMATIO must have never been published by another publisher in any language, except at the written request of TRANSFORMATIO and with the publisher's prior permission.
  2. Submitted article manuscripts must be academic essays in the field of theology, education, or integral mission.
  3. All references to the author's identity must not be included in the text or footnotes of the submitted manuscript. On a separate page of the manuscript, the author must include a brief profile containing: full name, academic title, academic title or position, institutional affiliation, residential address, and email address. The manuscript and short profile page can be sent via email in the form of an attachment.
  4. All manuscripts must be neatly typed with double spacing and at least follow the latest Turabian rules. A4 size, writing length approximately 6000 – 8000 words (or minimum 5 pages) written in Times New Roman, font 12, one and a half spacing.
  5. Each submitted manuscript will be assessed by a group of experts in the field. The assessments are:
    1. explore the author's ideas,
    2. content coherence (content analysis) according to the scientific procedures of the manuscript,
    3. make an assessment of prospective manuscripts to be published,,
    4. make recommendations as necessary regarding to TRANSFORMATIO's writing style
  6. Article review by Reviewers is carried out anonymously. The author will also receive notes in the form of comments from Reviewers anonymously through the TRANSFORMATIO Journal Editorial Board. The evaluation process by the Editorial Board and reviewers takes approximately a month. The final decision to publish each article is the right of the Editorial Board.
  7. Book review manuscripts should be a minimum of 2 pages, a maximum of 4 pages. Book reviews must be comprehensive in terms of the focus of the study and aspects of the literature referred to, and there are sub-chapters which are the original contribution of the author. Bibliographic information must appear at the beginning of the book review, using a format like the example below:

  8. Citation of reference sources must be done using reference management such as Mendeley. Reference sources are cited in the form of footnotes, which follow Turabian format.

    Example :

    1. Do not use ibid., op.cit., loc.cit., art. Cit., and ad.loc. Instead, for repeated references, use the author's name and a shortened title of the book or article as in some of the examples below:

      Heinrich Heppe, Reformed Dogmatics: Set Out and Illustrated from the Sources, trans. G.T. Thomson (Grand Rapids: Baker Book House, 1978), 15.

      Heppe, Reformed Dogmatics, 47.

    2. For journal articles in footnotes, write the journal title in full and not abbreviated, include the article's DOI if any.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
