Dosa Akhan dan Solidaritas Komunal: Analisis Filologis-Etis terhadap Ḥeˉrem

Abstract
This study analyzes Achan's Sin (Joshua 7) to reconcile the theological contradiction between individual justice and communal punishment, focusing on the principle of Corporate Personality and the Ḥeˉrem law. The urgency of the problem lies in the ethical implications of individual sin on the sanctity of God's covenant community. The research utilizes the deep exegetical-philological method to analyze Hebrew semantics. The findings indicate that Achan's sin is a universal etiology through the sequence raˉ’aˉh, chaˉmad, and laˉqach, which is the basic pattern of covenant violation. The discussion establishes that the collective punishment is justified by Corporate Personality and the Ḥeˉrem law, as private sin compromises the entire community’s covenant integrity. Ethically, this narrative serves as a model for Social Sin in the modern era, where corruption functions as Social Sacrilege (Ḥeˉrem Sosial). The conclusion asserts that the restoration of integrity demands internal obedience and transparent repentance (public accountability) to restore communal holiness. The novelty is the integration of philological analysis of the trilogy of sin with the ethical context of Social Sin (corruption) in Indonesia, recommending Transparent Repentance as a restorative and institutional solution.
