Abstract

This paper is a close reading of the text of Ezekiel 19. The first part of the paper will study the literary structure of the text and explain the content of the poem under study. The second part will be a brief study on the relationship between Ezekiel 19 and Ezekiel 1-24. And the final part will emphasize the significance of lament genre to to the prophetic corpus in the Hebrew Bible.
